How the holiday photo booth calendar fills up
Every photo booth and attendant can only be at one party per night, and almost every company, nonprofit and family wants the same handful of December weekends. Here’s the pattern we see year after year:
- Wednesday through Saturday nights in December are the most popular and the first to go, often booked by September and October. That’s when most corporate and holiday parties happen.
- Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights stay open longer and work well for office parties and client appreciation events.
- Daytime and early-afternoon parties are often available well into December and are great for family and community events.
- January “holiday” parties are growing every year. Many teams celebrate after the rush, when venues are easier to book and guests aren’t burned out.
If you have a Wednesday through Saturday night in December in mind, the earlier the better. If your date is flexible, you have more options than you might think.
Planning in November or December? Here’s what’s usually still open
Plenty of our favorite holiday parties are booked with only a few weeks’ notice. When you reach out late in the season, these options give you the best chance of getting a booth:
- A Sunday, Monday or Tuesday date. Same booth, same attendant, same experience, with far more availability.
- A January celebration. Bookings for January parties are often wide open in November.
- Our Selfie Station drop-off. We set it up, show your team the best practices and leave it for your guests to use at their leisure. It’s a great fit for smaller office parties, though a staffed booth always gets more attention.
- Event photography with instant delivery. A professional photographer moves through your party, and each guest gets the photos they’re in texted to their phone during the event.

Booking timeline by type of holiday event
Corporate holiday parties. Plan two to three months ahead for a December Wednesday through Saturday night, especially if you want custom branding on every photo. Our corporate event photo booths include a branded overlay and a digital gallery your team can use for internal communications and social media.
Galas and fundraisers. Lock in your date as soon as the venue is confirmed. These events often want a premium setup like our GLAM booth or a 360 video booth, and we only have so many of each.
Family and private holiday parties. Four to eight weeks is usually enough, especially for Sundays through Tuesdays.

Tips are never required, but they’re always appreciated. Our attendants work hard to give your guests great service all night, and many clients tip based on the level of service they felt they received, the same way they tip their other event vendors.
